Welcome To The Pods on the Croft at Avernish.
Our pods are nestled in the small crofting Township of Avernish, with breathtaking views overlooking Loch Alsh and Loch Duich where the iconic Elean Donnan Castle sits.
The village of Dornie is 3 miles away, from where you can visit Eilean Donan Castle.
Pubs and restaurants are in the village itself and all other amenities and activities can be found in nearby villages off Kyle of Lochalsh, Plockton, Lochcarron, Glenelg and the nearby Isle of Skye.
OUR PROPERTIES
Completed in May 2025 by Cuil Developments based in Ballachulish, the Pods on the Croft at Avernish are finished to an extremely high standard.
For the exclusive use of two adult guests, the pods are named Duich and Totaig, places you look out to from the terrace. Duich is the beautiful loch beyond Eilean Donan Castle and Totaig is home to the ancient broch 'Caisteal Grugaig', which once protected the three sea lochs of Loch Duich, Loch Long and Loch Alsh.
With underfloor heating and oak-effect flooring throughout, you'll be warm and cosy whatever the weather and whatever the time of year.
Kitchen / Dining
Inside each you'll find an Elfin kitchen and dining area equipped with all the essentials and more for preparing and enjoying home-cooked meals. There is a microwave, air fryer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and dishwasher.
Living Room
The living room is tastefully furnished and very comfortable, the ideal place to relax after a day in the hills, on the water or seeing the sights of the West Highlands. Sit back with the view, with a book or with the TV - or just have a nap!
Bedroom
The bedroom has a luxurious double bed with plenty of storage and hanging space, and all linen is provided. In addition, we also provide a hairdryer and iron with ironing board.
Bathroom
There's a spacious shower in the bathroom and an equally spacious vanity and wash-hand unit, with complimentary Highland Soap Company hand wash, conditioner and body wash. Towels are provided free of charge.
Outdoor Space
Outdoors, you can relax on the terrace enjoying the views and stunning vista of the lochs and mountains. The decked terrace has a tinted glass and stainless steel wired balustrade for privacy and comfortable wicker furniture to relax on.
There is a no smoking or vaping policy, and unfortunately we do not accept pets, being a working croft with many animals.

Driving on the A87 from the east and after passing Eilean Donan Castle (2.5 miles), turn left when you see the bus stop and at the sign for 'Nostie' and 'Avernish'.
Driving on the A87 from Skye and Kyle of Lochalsh (6.5 miles) turn right at the same bus stop and sign.
Then follow the blue route marked on the map, a single track road, for just over 1 mile.
